Meet Our Reptile Donors!

Ever wondered where some of the reptile shed used in the shop comes from? Meet the amazing reptiles who have donated their sheds to these creations!

The animals featured on this page have all had sheds used in products available in the shop! While shoppers are unable to choose who their shed comes from, there are many items in shop that may still have shed from many of the animals below!

Every shed is collected with the animal’s wellbeing in mind and is given to us voluntarily by their owners. We love being able to turn something naturally left behind into a unique keepsake while celebrating these awesome animals.

Meet Snakey!
Snakey is an amelanistic (albino) Corn Snake living in Florida! He is Jaz’s (Kitkatthe2tails) beloved pet and has been part of her life for many years.

Snakey was born in 2006! When she was only 3 years old, Jaz’s parents brought home three little Corn Snakes. As Jaz grew up and eventually got ready to move out, she took Snakey with her—and he’s been by her side ever since!

Even after all these years, Snakey is still going strong! He regularly sheds and shows no signs of slowing down, which means there is often some of his beautiful Corn Snake shed available to be used in products in the shop.

Meet Blitz
Blitz is a Red Ackie Monitor, also known as a Spiny-tailed Monitor, and Tyler’s dumb, small brained son who somehow missed the memo that he’s supposed to act like a monitor. Instead, Blitz has the personality of a Crested Gecko with approximately two functioning brain cells.

Blitz was purchased at the NARBC Reptile Convention in Tinley Park, where he was the only Red Ackie being sold at the booth. He may not have the biggest brain, but he has more than made up for it with the amount of joy, laughter, and personality he brings to Tyler’s life.

Meet… a wild snake?
This beautiful North American Racer (Black Racer) isn’t anyone’s pet—this snake belongs to the wild in Florida!

While Jaz and some family were out fishing, they stumbled across a complete snake shed lying in the grass. Naturally, they had to investigate!

Based on the scale shapes, length, dark coloration, and head shape, the shed was identified as belonging to an adult Black Racer.
